Leonard I. Beerman Early Childhood Center

At the south end of the Leo Baeck Temple campus, the Early Childhood Center (ECC) houses classes for children from two years to pre-kindergarten. Named for our Founding Rabbi, Leonard I. Beerman, the facility has won architectural awards for its abundant natural light, shaded play areas and parent observation rooms.

Staffed by an experienced and dedicated faculty, the ECC provides a developmentally sensitive and stimulating program. We observe Jewish holidays, festivals and customs in age-appropriate ways. Fridays are a special day, when our cantor leads songs and helps children welcome the traditional spirit of Shabbat. Weekly toddler-parent classes provide a supportive, helpful setting for parents and their very young children.

Founded in 1985, the ECC provides education for families of young children and classes for toddlers, parents and grandparents. ECC families participate in Tot Shabbat, family services and many intergenerational activities in the congregation.
