08.10.10 Make Your Own Teshuvah Journal In this workshop, with Rabbi Rachel Timoner, we will prepare for the month of Elul by creating journals for the process of cheshbon hanefesh (accounting of our souls). We will study texts on teshuva, and begin to use our journals to help guide us as we consider how we are living, the state of our relationships, and our sense of purpose in anticipation of the High Holydays.
Youth Groups
Our youth groups create a welcoming, supportive Jewish environment for the youth of our congregation in grades 4-12 by providing educational, spiritual and relationship-building experiences. Our trained and dedicated staff members are positive Jewish role models and help ease the transition from child to young adult.
LBRTY (Leo Baeck Reform Temple Youth)
LBRTY is the senior youth group of Leo Baeck Temple and is affiliated with the Reform movement’s youth program, NFTY (National Federation of Temple Youth). Our programs offer a balance of social, educational and religious content, with events planned and facilitated completely by teens, for teens.
LBRTY is constructed as an open club for teens to join with no expectation of them other than to show up and have a great time. Events are local, regional and national.
