Summer Programs

Transition / Mini-Gesher Program

A six-week transition class is offered during June on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for children who will be new to our school in September. The program consists of a shortened and simplified version of the Early Childhood Center's program.  Children gradually participate while their parents sit, watch, and serve as "laps" when the children need to return to them.  The children learn that parents are there to provide hugs, kisses, and security when they are needed.

Camp Kayitz / Summer Camp

This fun-filled summer camp for preschoolers takes place at the ECC from mid-June through July. The three two-week sessions create flexibility for families who may prefer a shorter or longer camp experience. Summer activities include sports, drama, music, "Mad Science," arts and crafts, cooking, marine life, reptiles, water play, and of course, Shabbat celebration. 

Kindergarten Boot Camp

A program that includes intensive, interactive reading, math, and language activities for all children entering kindergarten in the upcoming fall.  Pre-Kindergarten teacher, Sally Loevner, MA in Education, and reading specialist with teaching credentials in multiple subjects will lead this two-week Boot Camp from mid-June through early July.  

Summer Infant / Toddler Program

The Leonard I. Beerman Early Childhood Center's Mommy/Daddy & Me classes offer a warm, supportive, loving environment for your children. We also offer a small group setting where parents can discuss their children's growth and development along with the challenges of parenting. Two options are available - with a Friday morning class for 12-20 months-old children or a Wednesday morning class for 2-12 months-old infants.
