We are a developmental play-based school with an openness to an emergent curriculum based on the children’s interests. We are intentional about our environment, creating a space where children learn developmentally appropriate skills and concepts, like math science, and reading, as well as social emotional skills, like how to greet someone, to ask questions and how to problem solve, all while they play. Leo Baeck Temple Early Childhood Center focuses on the development of the whole child, while offering individualized attention to each and every child.
Some of the highlights of our well-rounded program include Judaic studies, language arts, music, science, math, and pre-reading in a program that is both play-based and center-based – ensuring social/emotional growth and kindergarten readiness. Our goal is to develop the whole child as well as guide parents through the preschool years. Parent participation and parent education are an integral part of our program. The Early Childhood Center is a hidden oasis that is the starting point for both a Jewish and secular education.
