ROOM PARENTS

My name is Lewis Wilkenfield and it is my pleasure to be the room parent coordinator for the Leo Baeck Temple Religious School. I have two children in the Religious School, a fourth grader and a 1st grader. As the room parent coordinator I help to facilitate various programs throughout the year, from teacher gifts to purchasing items for a special classroom celebration.

The most important thing is to connect with the teacher and see what he or she needs, and work as a communications “conduit” to the rest of the parents. If the Teacher knows that the Room Parent is available to help, and the parents are allowed to participate and be “in the loop,” the class will be better served.
