From the darkness of #MeToo toward the light: A heart-open evening with Neshama Carlebach.
For both women and men, the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements have brought so much to the surface in our lives-truth, pain, redemption and new understandings. It is extremely hard to talk about these new understandings…but that is precisely why we must talk about them. Please join us for an intimate conversation with beloved performer Neshama Carlebach, whose direct experience with #MeToo has been such a prominent part of the public discourse within the Jewish community.
We will talk with her about #MeToo, her family’s music, her father, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach and the allegations brought against him – and the growth we are all striving to experience in this time of heart-searing revelation. Rabbi Ken Chasen and Rabbi Sydney Mintz will be facilitating the conversation. Together with Neshama, they will begin to explore ways to collectively find the healing, empowerment, love and hope so needed at this time.
The event will also include some music to strengthen our souls, featuring Neshama, Rabbi Ken Chasen and Cantor Marsha Attie.
All are welcome!
