Arrive for coffee and fruit at 9:30 – followed by our morning presentation by the organization “Partners in Health.”
10:00am – On November 14th, we will hear from the organization, Partners in Health. Their mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. By establishing long -term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, Partners in Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.
Whether in Liberia, Rwanda, or any of the countries where they work and live, they go where we’re needed most, caring for patients in their homes and communities. They also work in close partnership with local government officials and the world’s leading medical and academic institutions to build capacity and strengthen health systems. And they stay, committed to accompanying the people and communities we serve for the long term. Come and learn about this organization’s important work. Bring a friend; ALL ARE WELCOME!
12:30 – Bring-your-own lunch followed by either Bridge at 1:00 in the Freeman Community Lounge or Yoga with Norm Gee at 1:30 (for all ages)
All are welcome!
