Rabbi Benjamin Ross will speak briefly about the preceding day’s election.

10:00   A Retrospective on Gemini G.E.L.  by Ellen Grinstein Perliter and Ayn Grinstein, daughters of Elise and Stanley Grinstein, co-founders of Gemini G.E.L.; regarded as one of the outstanding lithography studios in America, on its 50th anniversary, focusing on its history.   LACMA speaks of “Gemini’s brazen experimentation, its role in pushing boundaries in printmaking as well as its unusual collaboration between artists and printers.”  We are fortunate to have them give us an insider’s look at this.  On Thursday, December 8th they will lead a field trip to LACMA to look at the Gemini G.E.L exhibit. We will have a sign up at the November 9th WATT.

11:30  Milton Viorst – “Zionism: The Birth & Transformation of an Ideal.”  Join us as author and journalist, Milton Viorst, discusses his latest book on Zionism.  “From serving as the Middle East correspondent for The New Yorker to penning articles for the New York Times, Milton Viorst has dedicated his career to studying the Middle East. Now, in this new book, Viorst examines the evolution of Zionism, from its roots by serving as a cultural refuge for Europe’s Jews, to the cover it provides today for Israel’s exercise of control over millions of Arabs in occupied territories.”  There will be books for sale.

After our presentations, stay for lunch and either Bridge or Yoga.
