Death and Mourning

One of the most important aspects of synagogue life is that people are there for each other at times of crisis, pain, and loss. Our clergy are so honored to help people when there has been a death in the family. Dealing with the death of a loved one can be one of life’s most emotionally challenging periods. Figuring out logistical and ritualistic elements of eminent death or death can feel overwhelming. At the time of a need, call us first so that we can be available for you and your family. We will help you plan and schedule the funeral, we will meet with you to comfort you and we will conduct a service that is meaningful and comforting. If you need to reach the clergy immediately, they can be paged through our after-hours emergency call line on the main temple number 310.476.2861. Dial 1 and leave a detailed message.
